The Canaan Baptist Music Academy is a ministry of Canaan Baptist Church. The music academy began with our Pastor’s desire to reach the community and have a place of musical excellence. We currently offer private lessons for violin, piano, and brass. Our teachers are uniquely gifted Christian musicians committed to helping their students grow and reach a mastery level in all their endeavors.
We have spring, summer, and fall semesters and recitals at the end of each semester. Lessons are $30 for 30 minutes.
We are excited to learn classical and uplifting skills and songs. Learning an instrument takes discipline. We desire to develop young people with a mind and a desire to work, with skill sets that will last a lifetime.
Available Lessons
Piano
Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced lessons are available for all ages. There is a recital at the end of each semester (participation is not optional).
Piano Skills Group Classes:
(Group classes are optional but helpful to each student) The class schedule is determined at the beginning of each semester. Private lessons are individually scheduled.
Violin/Cello
Beginner and Intermediate lessons are available for all ages. Each private lesson includes a group lesson. Depending on skill level and dedication a student may be asked to play in the recital at the end of each semester. If asked, participation in recital is not optional.
Group Classes:
The class schedule is determined at the beginning of each semester. Private lessons are individually scheduled.
Brass
Beginner and Intermediate lessons are available for all ages. Each private lesson includes a group lesson. Depending on skill level and dedication a student may be asked to play in the recital at the end of each semester. If asked, participation in recital is not optional.
Instruments: Trombone, Trumpet, Potential other brass.
Group Classes:
The class schedule is determined at the beginning of each semester. Private lessons are individually scheduled.
Music Theory
Available to all students for no charge. The class schedule is determined at the beginning of each semester.
Tuition Rates
The semester tuition is due at registration, is optionally divided into five even monthly payments due at the beginning of each month, or could be paid at the individual lessons. (These amounts are subject to change yearly)
Fall Semester
Private Lessons | $330 paid in full or 11 Lessons at $35 per lesson ($385) Includes a weekly group class.
Babies, Tots, and Early Beginners | $85 per student
Spring Semester
Private Lessons | $570 paid in full or 19 Lessons at $35 per lesson ($665) Includes a weekly group class.
A yearly administration fee of $25 per student will be charged at the time of registration. We currently accept Cash, Check, and Credit Card. A 3% transaction fee will be applied if paying with Credit Card.
