The Bible Way To Heaven

How to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ

There are big questions that haunt all of us. What happens when I die? Where will I spend eternity? The single most important question that you will ever answer is this – “If I were to die today, would I spend eternity in Heaven with God?” Your relationship to Jesus Christ is central to the answer to that question. The Bible tells us in I John 5:13, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life…”  The good news is that God wants you to know where you’re going! God who created the heavens and the earth reveals Himself and the good news of salvation most clearly in the Word of God; the Bible.

There are four Bible truths you must understand and agree with.

Truth #1

The Problem of Sin

“For all have sinned.”

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23

If you are honest, you know that you have done some wrong things (Lying, Cheating, Stealing, etc.). That is sin. I am a sinner. You are a sinner. All of mankind are sinners.

Truth #2

The Penalty of Sin

“Death by sin.”

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin: and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” – Romans 5:12

This is the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. God told them they could eat of any tree except one. But they disobeyed God and ate from that tree. In doing so, a sin was committed. Their sin nature has been passed down to you and me. The penalty for sin, eternal death in Hell, is also passed down to you and me.

Truth #3

The Payment for Sin

“Christ died for us.”

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8

God loves you very much. He does not want you to go to Hell. In fact, He loves you so much that He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross. Your sins were actually removed from you and placed upon Jesus. When they nailed Jesus to the cross, the blood that came from Him cleansed your sin. He died on the cross to pay your price for sin — Death. They buried Jesus but He arose from the dead. He conquered death and He conquered sin. That’s good news!

Truth #4

The Promise of Eternal Life

“Shall be saved.”

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” – Romans 6:23

Eternal life is a gift. You cannot get baptized into Heaven or pay money to get into Heaven. In fact, you can’t do anything to get into Heaven; except to admit you are a sinner and trust Jesus’ dying for you as your only way into Heaven.

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” – Romans 10:13

How To Call Upon The Lord

You have a problem with sin. The penalty for sin is Hell. Jesus was the payment for sin.

If you agree with the above three statements, and would like to call upon the Lord, sincerely pray:

“Lord, I admit my problem of sin, I admit I deserve the penalty of sin, which is Hell. But I also realize that you are my full payment of sin. The best I know how, I depend on You to save me from sin and Hell right now. Thank you for forgiving all my sins, crediting Your righteousness to my account, and giving me eternal life. Amen.”
