In the entire chronicle of human history, there is no account, no narrative, no event like this one. It has no equal. It has literally become our dividing point for time itself. For the past twenty centuries, the account of the resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth has brought hope, forgiveness, and peace to the lives of countless thousands. The compelling narrative of Christ’s triumph over death has reached across time and geographic borders to bring comfort, healing, and restoration.
We invite you to Canaan Baptist Church to experience the true hope and true power of a resurrected Saviour this Easter.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23
If you are honest, you know that you have done some wrong things (Lying, Cheating, Stealing, etc.). That is sin. I am a sinner. You are a sinner. All of mankind are sinners.
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin: and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” – Romans 5:12
This is the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. God told them they could eat of any tree except one. They disobeyed God and ate from that tree. A sin was committed. That sin nature is passed down to you and me. The penalty for sin, eternal death in Hell, is also passed down to you and me.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8
God loves you very much. He does not want you to go to Hell. In fact, He loves you so much that He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross. Your sins were actually removed from you and placed upon Jesus. When they nailed Jesus to the cross, the blood that came from Him cleansed your sin. When He died on the cross He paid your price for sin — Death. They buried Jesus but He arose from the dead. He conquered death and He conquered sin.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” – Romans 6:23
Eternal life is a gift. You cannot get baptized into Heaven or pay money to get into Heaven. In fact, you can’t do anything to get into Heaven; except to admit you are a sinner and trust Jesus’ dying for you as your only way into Heaven.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” – Romans 10:13
Do you admit that you have a problem with sin?
Do you admit the penalty for sin is Hell?
Do you admit the payment for sin was Jesus Christ?
If you agree with the above three statements, and would like to call upon the Lord, sincerely pray:
“Lord, I admit my problem of sin, I admit I deserve the penalty of sin, which is Hell. But I also realize that you are my full payment of sin. The best I know how, I depend on You to save me from sin and Hell right now. Thank you for forgiving all my sins, crediting Your righteousness to my account, and giving me eternal life. Amen.”
